MY JOURNEY INTO Kundalini World
The word “Kundalini” was intriguing and resonated with me instantly. After years of spiritual search and practices I joined my first Kundalini yoga class.
Yogi Bhajan, who brought Kundalini yoga to the West said: “Kundalini is the creative potential of man.“ The Universe sent me the answer to a life-long quest: “What am I here for?” – “You are here to evolve and realise the gift of your soul”.
The meaning of Kundalini is “a coiled one”, or “a curl of lover’s hair”, which sounds poetic and romantic, and one wonders “What is it to do with yoga?” Kundalini yoga is about love, creating a loving relationship with yourself and the world around you.
Kundalini yoga is the most deeply transformative practice known. It hooked me in that very first kundalini class. I remember leaving the session pondering “What has just happened to me?” My body felt so light, the energy inside me was buzzing in an unusual and powerful way, my mind was clear, and the world around me seemed more vibrant than ever. The curious mind jumped in: how does it work? … a couple of months later, I embarked on a Kundalini yoga teacher training journey, as the pressure “to understand” was too strong. Little did I know that answers to my questions would not be found in the books or classes or teachers’ heads. I had to create my own relationship with this technology, guided by my teachers, supported by fellow students and by my own commitment to practice.
“To know something, you have to experience it”.
The ancient science of yoga began to un-peel itself in my body and my consciousness, layers by layer. This transformational process spilled over into every part of my life. I began to create the reality I always wanted to live in.
Divine Feminine within me has been longing for expression for a long long time. I’ve discovered so much passion to do things with women and for women. We can offer our gifts and the energy of our hearts to each other. We can heal our womanhood together and ignite our true feminine power.
Moved by this passion, I’ve created Divine Sangat, a women’s gathering where we connect, do women’s practices and share what it is to be a woman, modern and eternal.
I do believe in connecting, sharing and doing things together
